"Look," I said, "I know it's just me being petty, but it irritates me when people I know who can't spell, punctuate or use proper sentence construction become successful and make buckets of money in spite of it."

"That's because they're making their cash in areas where they don't need to write," the Muse said. "Also, you're being petty."

I nodded. "I know. I suck ass."

"Frequently," she said. "It's part of your charm."

It irritates me that there are (seemlingly well-educated) people out there who don't just know how many days there are in each month. How do you survive to adulthood if you have to think if there's a June 31st?

This is why the stupid should all be rounded up and turned into Soylent Green.

Golly, was that my outside voice talking? I usually try to keep those thoughts on the inside, where they won't make people stare at me.
