I'd just like to extend a hearty thank you to the Congress for voting to postpone their $2800-$3300 raises for a period of one month come next year. It'll make the token annual 1% raise I get at my job seem so much better in comparison.

How does someone manage to live on $165,200 a year?

Ask me when I get a $135,000 a year raise.

Mmm... a 2% raise sounds so much more impressive when the base salary is so much larger!

And just think, the President still only makes what, $225-$250K?

I suppose the salary thing is all relative anyway, when you consider that everyone on the Hill is filthy stinking rich already, yes?
