Izzard
I heard an argument that the price of the Playstation 3 won't really be an issue for anyone who wants to buy one, because $600 isn't a frightening price point like it used to be.

Used to be?

$600 scares the shit out of me. I don't know what world people live in, but that's a lot of cash, man.

Don't call me cheap.

Call me realistic.

Creepy indeed!

When I finally break down and buy one (in about three years or so), you can come play with it ;)

You're admitting to being creepy? ;)

What was creepy was the fact that I was just complaining to a coworker about the prices of these video game consoles. The mall santa claus is outside my store, and hanging on the bannister surrounding santa's throne are many christmas wish lists from children. One child asked for PS3, Wii, and Xbox 360. Glad I'm not that child's parent.

My kid'll get the same thing I had when I was a kid: a bag full of rocks and a punch in the head.

And why aren't you asleep, young lady?

$600 is more than my RENT.

Heck, I paid about 65% that much for my TV, and it's the *TV*, not just a game console I might get bored with!

The other argument was that people don't mind paying $1000 for a TV set, either.

Who are these insane people?

That is a total wtfmf (what the fuck muthafucka!) moment. The day 600 smackeroos doesn't scare the shit out of me will be the day that worms are eating my remains. I still think I'll be a little twitchy too. Oh, and hellllooo!

Helllllloooooo!

The day it doesn't scare me is that day that I buy you a $600 present to go along with mine.

Hooray for expensive presents! I seriously just got a playstation one a year ago and I think I'm quite fancy. Not seriously, but free beats $600 with a stick. A large, shiny stick.

I believe the large, shiny stick costs an extra $200.

I'm going for the small, sticky stick, myself. I found this one in the dumpster behind the Kentucky Fried Chicken.

Ew. I think it's a bone.

Yeah, umm, I don't know what they're talking about, but $600? Is a HOUSE PAYMENT for me. So yeah, fuck you, Sony.

That's why I got a --- WIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!! :)

No shit!

I'll wait a few years until they're a *tad* bit more affordable, thank you very much.

The price point is entirely what puts me off of it. I just can't conceive of paying that much money for a video game system.

Exactly. I could almost buy myself a new MacBook for that price, and I can't even justify that.

Don't worry; it'll pay off for you in the end.
