I Don't Wanna Grow Up

Jim and Pam
I've been wasting my weekend so far playing Bully, the new video game from Rockstar Games, otherwise known as the company that is single-handedly destroying the minds of our children. I'm not going to get into the whole debate about that (only to say that the average video game player is about my age, and that the Rockstar Games that are "offensive" all are labeled for "mature" gamers, which makes them roughly the equivalent of an R-rated movie, so maybe parents should pay a little more attention to what they buy their kids, yes?), but I must say that I'm having a hoot with this one.

New kid in a reform school, picking and being picked on, attending classes (!), egging people and buildings, slingshot fun, firecrackers, hitting on chicks, resisting authority... you know: high school. Greasers, jocks, nerds... oh, it takes me back about 20 years ;)

Must get back to it!

I just discovered accidentally that if I give another male student in the game a gift of flowers or chocolate, I can make out with him as well as the girls. I am now undertaking the task of being the reform school's first openly bisexual student.

Go, team, go!

20 years. You were in high school 20 years ago.

That makes me feel young. Thank you :)

I've been out of high school for 18 years.

Feel even better?

even better

I realized I was old tonight, as I walked through the "best" haunted houses in St.Louis, and was grossly unimpressed. My friend Joey says that makes me cynical, jaded, and officially an "old geezer". I disagree.
