Well, thanks. I like your writing, so it all works out on this end as well.

I also like the pics you put up, but that's another story ;)

Yays we're mutually mutual or something...

How's the foetal sprog doing by the by? And the mommy?

We are due in... golly... 6 weeks!

Going in for a baby doctor appointment in about 7 hours (which I know means I should be asleep, but sleep and I aren't talking to one another much these days).

The mommy is asleep, which is a good trick, so more power to her. She's finally stopped puking every other day, which is also a good thing.

We are currently shocking ourselves with how expensive baby furniture is, because apparently stores can charge whatever the hell they want to for cribs and such.

It seems as though I am going to spend the rest of my life being broke. Ah well. Such is life!

And how is yours coming? You're slightly ahead of us, I know, so you must be quite eager to be done with the whole thing, yes?

She's been sick this whole time!! My goodness, the poor wench, that's just horrible.

Yeah, baby stuff isn't cheap. I'm not too worried because I just got a stroller second-hand, and I bought a camping cot instead of a huge wooden one. Also helps cut down on the expense if mom can breastfeed and use cloth nappies. (It's actually easy, much easier than people think.)

I am pretty eager for it to be over, seeing as how it's the middle of summer here, and I'm dying!

Anyways, hope the doc appointment goes well.

I'm sure the appointment will be fine. We've had no problems thus far (other than the baby hasn't turned yet--we'll see if that happens, can be made to happen, or brings us to a C-section).

I unfortunately have a lack of people 'round these parts with baby items that can be passed on. I've got a crib mattress lined up, but no crib, so that's not much help. The little things are coming along--stroller, car seat, assorted clothes, bottles and things like that.

I've been reading about your miserable summer out there... hope you get a break from it soon!

Naughty baby. I'll speak sternly to it, 'k?

I found a lot of stuff through a second-hand baby shop in the next suburb - might be worth scouting around for one in your area.

Scouting is the plan for this week. Part of the problem, however, is that we don't own a vehicle large enough to move a fully constructed crib, and don't know anybody who does either, so we either have to find one that's not been put together yet, or have it delivered.

Maybe the baby can sleep in a cardboard box. I've got plenty of those, and I'm sure that the cats could sleep with her and keep her warm.

Yep, I shouldn't be allowed to have kids ;)

Yeah, but it's Jenna, and she's totally hot, so I don't mind seeing her pop up on my friends page.

She is totally hot, isn't she? She doesn't believe it, of course, and so she should be beaten, but still.

Pictures = good. :)

(besides, for the sheer amount of pictures I post, I certainly can't complain about anybody elses!)

I was wondering if I should do a cut to hide them, but then figured *pshaw*. If anyone complains about it, I might think otherwise, but for now, I'm going ahead as I have been.

So there.

see, you posit challenges like that, and some of us are tempted, just for fun's sake.

Thank you very much. One of my favorite people deserves to be one of my favorite photos.

I'm going to rent myself out for parties, weddings, funerals and bachelorette parties. Keep me in mind ;)

It's all part of the master plan to score some more local people to photograph. I left a few of them behind when I moved across country here from California, and I never really got around to replenishing them.

And no, I'm not a stalker. Really. Seriously.

No, really.

This is why I generally shoot about a thousand frames of whoever I'm photographing. The law of averages says that there should be at least one or two really stellar shots out of the bunch.

It's sort of a machine gun theory there: shoot enough bullets and someone is bound to get hit.

And I am not a stalker. Really. Now open your curtains, would you? I can't see what you're wearing from out here.
