Mr. Mike
I just saw a commercial for a Cadillac SUV, using The Pogues' The Sunny Side of the Street.

I am disgustipated by that, I tell you.

Stop co-opting my youth, corporate America!

I cringe every time I hear a song older than 15 years old in a commercial.

Pogues
Beatles
Anything Motown (raisins! argh!)

Heck, even the Rolling Stones, and I'm not all that fond of the Stones anyway.

Corporate America trying to entice consumers by confusing them with songs of their youth. :P

I am especially bothered by the Beatles usage, but I do get a cheap thrill when Phillips uses "Getting Better All the Time" in their commercials--if only because I always mentally add "can't get no worse" to the end of the lyric whenever they play it.

Idiots.
