Let's Hunt and Kill Billy Ray Cyrus

Bill Hicks
For those of you who were too young to have heard of the comedian Bill Hicks before he died (that's his photo there as my icon), then I direct you to this article on him. Read it and see why he was the most bitter, most brilliant, most dark and most funny comedian to come around since Michael O'Donoghue. http://www.salon.com/people/feature/2002/03/13/hicks/print.html

Don't any of you say that I don't love you.

"I was in Nashville, Tennesee last year. After the show I went to a Waffle House, I'm not proud of it, I was hungry. And I'm alone, I'm eating and I'm reading a book, right? Waitress walks over to me, "Tch tch tch tch. Hey, what you readin' for?" Is that like the weirdest fucking question you've ever heard? Not what am I reading, but what am I reading for. Well, godammit, you stumped me. Why do I read? Well... hmmm... I guess I read for a lot of reasons, and the main one is so I don't end up being a fucking waffle waitress."

Over there someplace? Hmmm...I thought you were quite flapjack tonight. ;-)

Hicks was brilliant. Just plain brilliant. All of the great writers seem to die too soon.

YOU AREN'T ALLOWED. I won't let you :)

I am extremely flapjack, thank you very much. Glad you noticed, though ;)

He was the man, I tell you. Definitely my hero, and the reason more than likely why I am such a bitter, mean, superior motherfucker.

Aim for the stars, you know? Hell, aim for the ceiling, because certainly nobody else is even aiming higher than the height of their tv screen.

See? Meanie ;)

And you know, 10 years later I still make references to "What you readin' for?"

I am one snarky dude.
